MEDAK: Movie Artists Association (MAA) president and actor Manchu Vishnu on Saturday described Medak district as a treasure trove of ancient heritage and called for greater efforts to preserve and promote its historical and cultural landmarks.

As part of a tourism promotion initiative, Manchu Vishnu visited the renowned Edupayala Vanadurga Mata temple, Medak Fort and the historic CSI Cathedral in Medak district.

He was received at the Edupayala temple by additional collector Nagesh and temple priests, who welcomed him with Purna Kumbham honours. The actor offered special prayers to Sri Vanadurga Mata and received theertha prasadam.

Later, he visited the historic Medak Fort, where district officials briefed him on its historical significance. He also visited the world-famous Medak CSI Cathedral and offered prayers.

Addressing the media, Manchu Vishnu said India possesses an unparalleled historical legacy that must be preserved for future generations. He appreciated the district administration for preparing a master plan to develop Medak's heritage and tourist destinations.
