The Telangana High Court has issued Contempt of Court notices to C.V. Anand, Secretary of the Home Department, and BookMyShow CEO Ashish Hemrajani for continuing the premiere shows of Akhanda 2 despite the court’s earlier orders suspending permission for such screenings.

The case was heard on Friday, following which the court directed notices to both for allegedly violating its interim suspension order. The High Court expressed displeasure over the continuation of the premiere shows even after its directive.

The matter has been posted for the next hearing in two weeks.
