Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Thursday deferred its verdict on the Group-I recruitments to February 5. The Division Bench informed counsel that the judgment copy was not yet ready.

Earlier, a single judge had stayed the Group-I recruitments, citing alleged irregularities and lack of transparency in the conduct of the examinations. Challenging this order, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGSPSC) and several selected candidates approached the Division Bench. The bench subsequently vacated the stay, clarifying that all appointments would be subject to the final outcome of the case.
The single-judge ruling had directed the cancellation of the final marks list and general rankings, and ordered re-evaluation of answer scripts or, alternatively, the conduct of fresh examinations, citing procedural lapses. TSPSC and affected candidates filed appeals against this verdict, and the High Court had already completed hearings on the matter.
While the judgment was expected to be delivered on Thursday and adjourned it to February 5.
