Telangana Govt Sets Up Helpline for Citizens Amid Nepal Unrest
The initiative is aimed at assisting Telangana citizens stranded in Nepal and extending support to their families.
Hyderabad: In view of the civil unrest in Nepal, the Telangana government has activated a dedicated emergency helpline at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, for any state residents who may need help. According to a press release issued by the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC), no Telangana citizen had been reported injured or missing so far in Kathmandu.
However, the state government is taking precautionary steps in coordination with the ministry of external affairs and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to ensure the safety of Telangana residents in Nepal and their early repatriation. The measure was taken under the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the press release stated.
