HYDERABAD: The Telangana Ganga Teppotsavam was celebrated at HMDA Grounds, Tank Bund, with a grand Shoba Yatra and Gangamma Bonalu Jatara from Khairatabad to Hussainsagar Lake. The festival was organised by the Telangana Ganga Teppotsavam Committee.

PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and minister Ponnam Prabhakar were present as chief guests. Former governor Bandaru Dattatreya, corporation chairmen Mettu Sai Kumar, Nirmala Jagga Reddy, Rohin Reddy, and other leaders also joined the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, Prabhakar extended greetings to the Gangaputra community and announced that fishlings worth ₹120 crore would be distributed this year to support fishermen.

He said that with the blessings of Goddess Gangamma, farmers can look forward to good rains and a prosperous season.
