Telangana Gig Workers Support Flash Strike

 Hyderabad: Joining the nationwide strike by trade unions, the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union extended support to the strike, stating in a press release that 40,000 gig workers participated in a flash strike across Telangana. The workers protested against ongoing exploitation and the absence of legal protection, demanding immediate intervention from both the Central and State governments. During the protest, they called for a comprehensive law for gig and platform workers and urged the creation of a dedicated welfare board to ensure social security.
