Telangana: Gandhi Medical College Honours 42 Students

HYDERABAD: Forty‑two medical students of Gandhi Medical College were awarded gold medals and certificates of merit for securing top honours in undergraduate, postgraduate and super‑speciality courses during the college’s 72nd Foundation Day celebrations on Sunday.
The medals were presented by Gandhi Alumni Association founding president Dr D. Raja Reddy, college principal Dr. K. Indira and Gandhi Hospital superintendent Dr. Thota Usharani at a programme held in the Alumni Association Hall. The event was organised by the Gandhi Alumni Association under its president Dr G. R. Lingamurthy and general secretary Dr A. V. Ratnam.
Speakers highlighted the role of the college in providing medical services and training doctors over the years. They urged students to focus on patient care and service, particularly for people from economically weaker sections. Vice‑principals, heads of departments, senior professors, doctors, alumni, students and parents attended the programme.
