HYDERABAD: Chief Election Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy directed DEOs and EROs to carefully verify the ASDD list and cases in which voters had submitted Enumeration Forms but their names were missing in the Draft Electoral Roll, and to take appropriate action.
During a video conference held at the CEO’s office on Wednesday, Sudarshan Reddy instructed the DEOs and EROs to prepare and implement a detailed, time‑bound action plan based on anomalies and “No Mapping” cases. He directed officials to closely monitor the generation and distribution of notices to electors, conduct hearings, verify documents and ensure timely disposal of claims and objections.
He instructed them to provide contact details of electors covered under anomalies and “No Mapping” cases to BLOs and BLO Supervisors for effective field‑level follow‑up. Key focus areas discussed included arranging adequate counters and manpower according to workload for conducting hearings. BLOs were directed to serve notices on the concerned electors, and BLOs and BLO Supervisors were asked to explain the contents of the notices, including the action required from them.
The CEO reviewed district‑wise action plans for disposal of anomalies and “No Mapping” cases and stressed the need for timely disposal of claims and objections relating to Forms 6, 6A, 7 and 8. He emphasised that “No eligible elector should be left out and no ineligible person should be included.”
