Telangana: BRS Releases Chargesheet Against Govt
No Merit In Revanth Demand On KCR: KTR
HYDERABAD: The BRS on Wednesday shot down Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s demand that its president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao resign as the leader of the opposition in the Assembly with the BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao declaring that “Revanth Reddy does not have it in him to withstand the aftershocks of a KCR resignation.”
Rama Rao, further said that “Resignations are not new to KCR. Sonia Gandhi was shaken by KCR’s resignation and was forced to accede to the demand for a separate Telangana. Without KCR, Revanth would not have become a Chief Minister. Can Revanth face it?”
Rama Rao was addressing the media at the Telangana Bhavan, where he, along with senior party leaders including T. Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and others, released a ‘Chargesheet’ against the Congress government on its completion of 1,000 days in power.
On the constant demand from the Congress that Chandrashekar Rao go to the Assembly to attend its sessions, Rama Rao said “KCR will return to the Assembly as Chief Minister.”
Rama Rao said, “The only achievements of the Revanth Reddy government were not keeping the promises made during the elections and destruction of the state’s economy and administration. The scale of the destruction is such that the BRS, when it returns to power after the next elections, will need time to undo the damage done by the Congress government,” he said.
