Telangana Assembly, Council Monsoon Sessions Begin

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy moved a condolence motion over the demise of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath. Recalling his political journey, Revanth said that Gopinath was an active leader who served as the Telugu Yuvatha President from 1985 to 1992 and maintained a close association with TDP founder and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, N.T. Rama Rao. He added that Gopinath excelled as a youth leader, public representative, and also as a film producer. “He was also a good friend of mine,” Revanth said.

In the Council, a condolence motion was also moved over the passing of its former members Ratnakar and Ranga Reddy. Following the condolence motions, both Houses were adjourned. Later, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meetings will be held to decide the duration of the Monsoon Sessions.
