Telangana ACB Records Highest Quarterly Cases Since 1983
The Director General appreciated the efforts of officers and staff across all units and commended their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to clean and transparent governance
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Charu Sinha here on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of cases registered and investigated by the bureau, with special focus on performance during the second quarter of 2026.
During the review, the Director General expressed satisfaction over the bureau's performance and noted that the ACB had recorded the highest number of cases in a corresponding quarter since 1983, reflecting renewed focus, sustained vigilance, and professional commitment in combating corruption. It booked 10 DA cases, 34 traps and 23 surprise checks.
The Director General appreciated the efforts of officers and staff across all units and commended their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to clean and transparent governance.
A reward mela was also organised to recognise and felicitate officers and staff who showed exceptional dedication and delivered outstanding performance during the quarter. Commendations and rewards were presented to the best performers for their contribution to the Bureau's anti corruption efforts.
Addressing the gathering, the Director General congratulated the awardees and observed that "corruption makes a country hollow from within," Officers were urged to continue working with integrity, determination, and a strong sense of public duty to strengthen public trust and uphold the rule of law.
The Director General further emphasised that the Bureau's priority must remain professional, fair, and thorough investigation, supported by continuous capacity building, improved investigative standards, and sustained institutional vigilance.
The event concluded with a collective resolve to intensify anti-corruption efforts and ensure that the ACB remains at the forefront of safeguarding integrity, accountability, and good governance.
