Telangana ACB Arrests Deputy EE in Rs.10,000 Bribery Case
Sai Ram demanded the bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour for an already issued Quality Control Certificate for first contract work
Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested Sai Ram, Deputy Executive Engineer (EE) in Quality Control Cell in Musheerabad in connection with Rs.10,000 bribe case.
Sai Ram demanded the bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour for an already issued Quality Control Certificate for first contract work, and for issuing a similar certificate for second contract work done by the complainant.
The bribe amount of Rs.10,000 was recovered from the possession of Sai Ram who allegedly performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage, the ACB officials said.
They said Sai Ram is being produced before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
