Telangana: 30 Teachers To Receive CPD Appreciation Awards

HYDERABAD: Thirty teachers affiliated with the Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) will receive the CPD Teachers Appreciation Awards 2026 on World Teachers’ Day on October 5. They were selected from a professional development programme in which around 4,000 teachers participated over four months.
TRSMA and the Bharti Airtel Foundation launched the Continuous Professional Development programme in June for teachers working in TRSMA member schools through The Teacher App. The programme aims to encourage teachers to continue learning and improve their professional skills through technology-based courses and teaching resources.
Ten teachers have been shortlisted in each of three categories — Engagement, Course Completion and AI Resource. The 30 awardees will be felicitated at the Press Club, Basheerbagh.
TRSMA state president S. Madhusudhan said continuous professional development was essential to improve the quality of education.
“Teachers must continuously upgrade their knowledge and teaching practices to meet the changing needs of students and the emerging opportunities created by technology and artificial intelligence,” he said.
