HYDERABAD: The Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TSUTF) has asked the school education department to immediately revise the SSC 2026 timetable, saying the schedule stretches seven papers across nearly 35 days. “The timetable is completely unscientific and serves the personal opinions of officials rather than the needs of students and teachers,” TSUTF said.

The federation noted that long gaps of 4 to 6 days between papers could sap students’ interest and increase stress. A one-day break, they said, would be enough. The federation argued that officials treat Class 10 as the only priority in schools, while classes 6 to 9 receive no attention. They wondered who would handle annual exams for lower classes if teachers are tied up with SSC duties for more than a month.

The federation members said district-level interference and rank competition have pushed quantity over quality and called on officials to create conditions that reduce fear of exams and build interest.
