Hyderabad: The Department of Heritage Telangana, under the leadership of Prof. Arjun Rao Kuthadi, Director of Heritage Telangana, conducted a Swachhata Drive Programme at the historic Gunfoundry Protected Monument, Hyderabad, in association with INTACH Hyderabad Chapter.

The programme witnessed active participation from officials, heritage activists, volunteers, and members of the public with the objective of creating awareness regarding the cleanliness, preservation, and protection of heritage monuments.

The drive included cleaning activities around the monument premises and sensitization on maintaining heritage sites in a clean and sustainable manner.

During the programme, Dr. P. Nagaraju, Deputy Director (Museum), explained the importance and historical significance of monuments and emphasized the responsibility of citizens in safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations.

He highlighted the need for regular conservation efforts and public participation in preserving heritage structures. The Swachhata drive was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from all stakeholders and contributed towards promoting awareness on heritage conservation and cleanliness, Prof Arjun Rao Kuthadi, Director, Department of Heritage Telangana.
