Jubilee Hills police former station house officer U. Srinivasulu, already

facing a sexual harassment case and under suspension, has now been booked in
a rape case. Ameenpur police said he trapped a woman, raped her and forced
her to undergo an abortion.

A second woman victim lodged a written complaint alleging that Srinivasulu
Reddy extorted, blackmailed and subjected her to repeated sexual harassment,
using private videos he had recorded.

Her statement, recorded in the presence of a woman police officer, said
Srinivasulu maintained relations with her for two years, during which he
collected videos and extracted several lakhs of rupees, promising marriage.
Later, he blocked her number and avoided her when she tried to meet him at
his residence and at Jubilee Hills police station while he was posted there.

The victim stated that Srinivasulu cohabited with her and then made every
effort to get rid of her, similar to what he had done in another case while
serving as SHO Jubilee Hills.

Srinivasulu, who resides in the same portion as the victim, allegedly
continued attempts to drive her away. She finally approached the police
seeking justice.

Based on her complaint, cases have been registered against Srinivasulu under
charges of aggravated rape, causing miscarriage without a woman’s consent,
demanding sexual favours, voluntarily causing hurt, extortion and criminal
intimidation under the BNS as wel as under the IT Act.

City police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar had suspended Srinivasulu on July 28
after an internal inquiry proved charges of extortion and an extramarital
affair with a complainant. The victim’s statement also said Srinivasulu
blackmailed her with personal videos, demanded ₹2 crore and collected
