Suspended IPS trainee Uday Krishna was discharged from hospital as police continued investigating the sexual harassment case against him.
Suspended IPS trainee officer Uday Krishna was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after treatment following an alleged suicide attempt. He did not speak to mediapersons outside the hospital.
Police said the investigation into a sexual harassment case registered against him by a fellow trainee officer is ongoing.
As part of the probe, the Attapur police, under the Women Safety Wing, recorded the statement of the complainant. The statement was recorded by a designated woman officer, Jyotsna, in accordance with prescribed procedure.
Police sources said the statement forms a key part of the investigation, which is proceeding on the basis of the complaint and material collected so far.
Sources added that Uday Krishna has not submitted any evidence to the investigating officers despite referring to material on his mobile phone in an alleged note.
He has not approached the police or handed over his mobile phone or other material for examination, the sources said, adding that no documentary or digital evidence has been furnished so far to support his claims.
Police said any evidence submitted would be examined as part of the probe, which is continuing based on the complaint.
