Suneil Narang Accountant Held For Cheating
He did it for more than three years and it was found in the 2024 auditing of accounts
Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have arrested an accountant named Vishwanath, who had been working in Suneil Narang's Asian Films and allegedly indulged in a fraud of more than ₹1 crore. Police said Vishwanath used to handle cheques to be given to various corporates every week.
He allegedly created bogus accounts, and placed few cheques in between others and secured the signature of Narang without his knowledge. This went on for more than three years and was found out in 2024 during the auditing of accounts, police said.
Narang lodged complaint with the Jubilee Hills police who registered a case and commenced investigations. Vishwanath had reportedly gone absconding and was arrested on Saturday.
"He has been finally arrested. Thanks to cops. He misused our trust placed on him. We treat our staff with respect but he took advantage of it and indulged in fraud, said Narang, exhibitor, distributor, producer in Tollywood.
