SRSP Water Storage Reached 38 Tmc Ft

NIZAMABAD: Water storage in the Sriramsagar project reached 38.151 TMC ft on Wednesday. Heavy inflows from the Godavari River over the past few days, driven by rainfall in Nizamabad, Nirmal, and Nanded districts, have raised the reservoir’s water level.

Currently, the water level stands at 1,077.30 ft against a full reservoir level of 1,091.00 ft. Peak inflows of 1,05,000 cusecs were recorded, while outflow was maintained at 774 cusecs on Wednesday. Irrigation department officials are coordinating with their counterparts in Maharashtra to monitor and manage the Godavari’s inflows.
