Srihari Assures to Ban Betting Apps in Telangana
The Minister asked the people to take responsibility to drive out betting rackets and said that the State government would suppress betting apps with an iron foot
Hyderabad: Telangana Fisheries, Sports and Youth Services Minister Vakiti Srihari has promised to ban betting apps in Telangana after speaking to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the next Cabinet meeting.
He asked people to take responsibility to drive out betting rackets and said that the State government would suppress betting apps with an iron foot. Yuva Natakotsavam started grandly on Wednesday evening under the auspices of Telangana Sangeet Natak Akademi.
The Minister responded after watching a play performed by Sirisiri Muvva artistes. It has been announced that young lives are being ruined by betting apps and measures are being taken to suppress such apps with an iron foot.
Telangana Labor and Mines Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy inaugurated these drama festivals. Vivek said that the government is committed to promoting the arts and their government will be at the forefront in promoting artists.
He said that progress is being seen in all fields as part of the praja palana festivals of the government and it is commendable that three days of youth drama festivals are organized in the field of arts.
He said that it was the Chief Minister idea to encourage the youth and his government was responsible for promoting cultural traditions. He suggested that senior artistes should encourage young talent. Minister Mr Vivek felicitated drama artists and directors.
