Sri Rama Pattabhishekam celebrated a day after the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita, was performed amid chanting of Vedic hymns by temple priests

Bhadrachalam: The sacred Sri Rama Pattabhishekam (Coronation) was held with devotion and ceremonial splendour at the Mithila Kalyana Mandapam on Monday, marking a key highlight in the ongoing Brahmotsavams at the historic Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple.

The coronation, celebrated a day after the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita, was performed amid chanting of Vedic hymns by temple priests. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma graced the event and offered silk garments to Lord Rama as part of the rituals.

The Governor was received with full temple honours at the venue by minister for agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao and temple priests. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor highlighted the enduring relevance of Lord Rama’s ideals, urging people to uphold the virtues of righteousness, compassion, and truth. He also offered prayers for the prosperity of the state and the nation, particularly for a bountiful year in agriculture and dairy production.

Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the Pattabhishekam, describing it as a central part of the Sri Rama Navami festivities in Bhadrachalam. He extended his gratitude to the temple authorities and devotees for their active participation. Earlier in the day, Governor Dev Varma arrived at Sarapaka helipad, where he was welcomed by minister Rao before proceeding to the temple town for the rituals.
