Karimnagar: Backward class welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday appealed to party workers to spread the achievements of the Revanth Reddy government in every village to ensure win of the party’s Graduates MLC candidate V. Narendar Reddy.

Coming down heavily on the opposition parties, the minister said, the BRS is not even in the race as it feared defeat. The BJP claimed it would create two crore jobs annually but deceived people, he said, adding, BJP candidates have no connection with the region and lack people’s support.

He said the BJP made false promises to farmers. Instead of introducing welfare schemes, it brought three farm laws and harmed the interest of farmers, he stated.

He accused the BJP of favouring business tycoons like Adani and Ambani while ignoring the plight of the unemployed.

He said despite severe financial strain, the Congress government worked diligently under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and ensured that welfare programmes continued without hindrances.

He emphasised that the Congress government successfully filled 55,000 vacancies in a short time and introduced a job calendar, ensuring transparency and regular recruitment of youths.

He urged graduates and government employees from Karimnagar, Medak, Adilabad and Nizamabad districts to vote for the Congress’ V. Narendar Reddy, stressing that their support will ensure continued progress and prosperity for the region.
