Spl Court Issues Non-bailable Warrant Against Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad:The special court to try criminal cases against MLAs at Nampally on Thursday issued a non-bailable warrant against Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay for failing to appear before the court despite being given several chances, in an election code violations case registered in 2021 during the Huzurabad byelection, which Etala Rajendar won.

The FIR was registered by Huzurabad police and a chargesheet was filed in 2023. Karuna Sagar, counsel for Sanjay, argued that the minister was busy with the ongoing Parliament session. The judge took a serious view and issued the NBW and adjourned the case to July 30.
