‘Space on Wheels’ Visits Army Public School Bolaram
The programme was inaugurated by Dr R. Srinivas, head of student and public outreach at NRSC, and Col. Uday Verma, staff officer to the chairman, APS Bolaram.
Hyderabad: The Army Public School at Bolaram here hosted an outreach programme, Space on Wheels on Wednesday in collaboration with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation. A mobile exhibition showcasing models of Isro’s rockets, satellites and space missions like ‘Chandrayaan’ and ‘Mangalyaan’ was set up for students.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr R. Srinivas, head of student and public outreach at NRSC, and Col. Uday Verma, staff officer to the chairman, APS Bolaram.
Students explored the exhibition and engaged with interactive displays. They also attended a talk by Dr Srinivas who highlighted India’s success in space and encouraged students to dream big and aim for careers in space science. School principal Smitha Govind and the management called the event a great learning opportunity for students.
