SP Calls for Collective Efforts To Increase Green Cover in Kamareddy

KAMAREDDY: Superintendent of police M. Rajesh Chandra has urged people, particularly youth and students, to take up the responsibility of planting and protecting trees to increase green cover and safeguard the environment.
He made the appeal while participating in the Telangana government’s Vanamahotsavam programme in Kamareddy district on Tuesday, during which he planted saplings.
Chandra said protecting the environment and increasing green cover was everyone’s responsibility. He said planting trees would help maintain ecological balance and ensure a healthy and pleasant environment for future generations.
He called upon the public, youth and students to draw inspiration from Vanamahotsavam and participate on a large scale in planting and protecting trees. He said collective efforts to increase green cover would help build a greener Kamareddy and provide future generations with a healthy living environment.
Additional SP (Admin) K. Narasimha Reddy, AR DSP Udaya Bhaskar, special branch inspector Madhusudan, RIs Santosh Kumar, Naveen and Krishna, an RSI and other police personnel participated in the programme.
