Adilabad: The selection process for four welfare schemes has reignited hope among applicants, although some are disappointed by the initial outcome. On the 76th Republic Day, officials launched the welfare schemes in one village per mandal, aiming to extend benefits to deserving families across the district.

During the launch, officials assured the people that the identification of remaining eligible beneficiaries was going on. BRS MLAs Kova Laxmi and Anil Jadhav appealed to the state government to ensure that all eligible people get the intended welfare benefits.

Representatives from the Congress and BRS, along with MLCs and corporation chairmen, participated in distributing scheme copies to beneficiaries in selected villages in their Assembly constituencies. This took place across the Nirmal, Adilabad, Mancherial, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad districts.

However, Congress MLAs faced scrutiny from applicants questioning the criteria for beneficiary selection and the decision to launch the schemes in only one village per mandal. In response, Congress representatives reassured the community of the party’s commitment to effective implementation.

Mancherial MLA K. Premsagar Rao attended the welfare schemes launched at the Praja Palana programme in Ryali village, Hajipur mandal and viewed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s live speech addressing the initiative. Similarly, Boath MLA Anil Jadhav took part in the Praja Palana programme in Navegaon village, Ichoda, pledging to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive their sanctioned welfare schemes.

Tensions arose between BRS and Congress groups over protocol during the Praja Palana programme in Boath. Meanwhile, Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju was present at the Praja Palana events in Suddaguda, Utnoor mandal, and Ghattepalli, Indravelli mandal, where he distributed welfare scheme proceedings to beneficiaries.

In contrast, Adilabad BJP MLA Payal Shankar opted out of participating in the Praja Palana programme. Instead, she attended the national flag-hoisting ceremony at the Adilabad parade grounds alongside Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh and Boath MLA Anil Jadhav.
