Soil-Testing Begins for Construction of Flyover and Underpass Around KBR Park

HYDERABAD: Soil-testing for the construction of flyover and underpass around Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) Park has commenced and the works will commence from February. The state government, to improve the traffic movement at major junctions surrounding the KBR Park proposed infrastructure works worth `1,090 crore.

Busy junctions in and around Jubilee Hills that will be eased with the construction of these project are- junctions at Jubilee Hills Checkpost, KBR Park entrance, Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, Filmnagar, Maharaja Agrasen statue and the one located at Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital.

These junctions connect busy areas such as Madhapur, HITEC City, Gachibowli, and Kondapur. Presently the traffic is routed through traffic signals and U-turns, throwing traffic out of gear especially during peak hours.

“We have floated tenders for the construction of flyovers and underpasses . The works will be taken in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode,” said a GHMC official. These works are being executed as a part of Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure’ (HCITI).
