Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Chikkadpally Police have successfully apprehended a couple, along with two accomplices, for drug trafficking in the city. The operation resulted in the confiscation of a significant quantity of narcotics, including 22 grams of hydroponic cannabis, 5 grams of MDMA, 5.5 grams of ecstasy pills, and six LSD blots.

The four arrested individuals comprise three alleged peddlers and one user. The main suspects are Emmanuel, a private firm employee residing in Kondapur, and his partner, Sushmita, a software engineer. Police indicate the couple financed their luxurious lifestyle by engaging in drug sales.

Investigations revealed the couple utilised the dark web, making cryptocurrency payments to acquire the drugs.
