Snake Captured in Govt. Boys Hostel Faculty’s Washroom in Nagarkurnool
The snake was found in the faculty’s washroom and no students were present at the time of the incident: Officials
Hyderabad: A snake was found in the washroom, which is used by the faculty, at Jyothi Rao Phule Boys’ Hostel in Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday night, triggering panic among the staff.
Faculty member Prabhakar returned to his room after completing inspection of the students during study hours at around 9 pm. When he opened the washroom, he found a Russell Viper slithering between the bucket and the tap. The staff immediately alerted forest department officials.
The staff kept the door closed until the arrival of a snake charmer deputed by the forest department. He caught the snake and secured it in a water bottle to release it into the forest.
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society district coordinator, Prashanthi said the snake was found in the faculty washroom and no students were present at the time of the incident, as they had completed their study hours and gone to sleep.
