Slain Maoist Leader Hanumanthu To Be Laid To Rest In Nalgonda
Hanumanthu’s family members travelled to Odisha in an ambulance to bring his body back to Pullemla for the funeral: Reports
NALGONDA: The funeral rites of slain CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Paka Hanumanthu will be held on Saturday at his native village of Pullemla in Chandur mandal of Nalgonda district.
According to sources, Hanumanthu’s family members travelled to Odisha in an ambulance to bring his body back to Pullemla for the funeral.
Before leaving, they reportedly met Superintendent of Police Sharath Chandra Pawar and obtained a letter confirming their identity as the family of the slain Maoist leader.
If the Odisha police hand over Hanumanthu’s body on Friday afternoon, it is expected to reach Pullemla by Saturday morning. Relatives have already arrived in the village to attend the funeral. The exact timing of the last rites is yet to be finalised.
