Karimnagar: In a remarkable display of traditional craftsmanship, celebrated handloom artists Yeldi Hariprasad and Nalla Vijay have captured widespread acclaim for their exquisite sari creations. Known for their intricate designs and masterful use of gold thread, the artisans unveiled their latest masterpieces during the ‘Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam’ ceremony at the historic Bhadrachalam Temple.

Hariprasad presented a breathtaking gold-bordered sari, featuring elaborate depictions of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita Devi woven meticulously with one gram of gold sari. Crafted over six painstaking days, the sari spans 5.50 metres in length and weighs approximately 800 grams. The design is adorned with symbolic motifs such as conch shells, chakra designs, and figures of Lord Hanuman and Garuda, further enhanced by the repeated inscription of sacred slokas 51 times, adding a profound spiritual dimension to the artwork.
In a statement about his work, Hariprasad shared, "It is an honour to present this creation for the Kalyanam ceremony, where every thread has been woven with devotion and care."
Meanwhile, Nalla Vijay captivated art enthusiasts with a sari embellished by a graceful floral gold motif. Commissioned by a businessman from Ballari for his daughter, this unique piece incorporates 20 grams of gold into its design. Vijay, who devoted 10 days to perfecting the piece, described the floral pattern as reminiscent of a blooming flower, embodying the natural elegance and vibrancy of tradition.
Vijay’s creation also measures 5.50 metres in length, maintains a weight of 800 grams, and continues his legacy of merging traditional techniques with innovative artistry, a hallmark that has earned him accolades across India.
