SIR Underway in Gated Communities of IT Corridor
In these communities, the members of the societies have dedicatedly marked their Saturdays and Sundays for filling and submitting the SIR enumeration form.
Hyderabad:Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 activity is underway in the gated communities located in the IT Corridor and the activity paced up only after the members of the society warned the residents that their names will be deleted in the electoral rolls.
In these communities, the members of the societies have dedicatedly marked their Saturdays and Sundays for filling and submitting the SIR enumeration form. Many senior citizens said that some youngsters, due to the cumbersome process of finding the name of their relatives in 2002 rolls, showed disinterest. However, after the committee members pointed out that, the Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is one of the important ID proofs and their name will be deleted from the voters’ list, several people extended co-corporation.
Arrangements have been made in common places in the housing society for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to sit and operate and presently the distribution and collection of enumeration forms is underway.
“Due the cumbersome process, filling the form is getting delayed by many residents,” said A. Narasimhan, from Golf View Apartment, Nanakramguda.
In Tellapur, a government community hall was shortlisted for around three to four gated communities and location was shared to the residents.
“Initially people did not realise the seriousness of the issue, but now people have started visiting the community hall to complete their process,” said Ramana Eshwaragari, president of Tellapur Neighborhood Associations.
As all the forms that have been distributed in these societies were in Telugu, the members of the society formed teams and assisted the residents who could not read Telugu. In many housing societies the three major problems faced were – searching the name in 2002 voters’ list, unable to submit the enumeration form online and for some it was the forms printed in Telugu.
The elected members of the society also took printouts of the 2002 electoral rolls of some assembly constituencies and kept it handy. In addition to this, they shared the contact number of ECI/CEO Telangana Voter Helpline of 1950 in WhatsApp groups and with the help of BLOs the issue related to searching the name was addressed.
Pertaining to online filling of enumeration forms, only if the name in the EPIC card and Aadhar matches completely including the initials, only then the application is processed. Following this many electors filled physical forms and handed it over to the BLOs. “The process is underway in our society with the assistance of our elected members,” said a resident from Aparna Sarovar in Nallagandla.
