Karimnagar: Temple authorities from Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy of Dharmapuri on Saturday presented silk garments and pearls to Lord Rama during the Sri Rama Navami Kalyanotsavam at Ellanthakunta Ramalayam. The temple, also known as ‘Apara Bhadradri,’ is steeped in tradition, with local lore holding that Lord Rama performed his last rites here using the revered Ellanda trees — an event that gave the village its name.
The temple’s self-manifested idols, including the celebrated Utsava Murthy, continue to draw devotees, who flock to the sacred site in hopes of receiving divine blessings. As part of the ritual, Dharmapuri authorities offered pattu vastras (silk garments) and mutyala talambralu (pearls) to the presiding deities, marking a significant moment in the Navami celebrations.
