Kamareddy: Mohd. Ali Shabbir, adviser to the Telangana government on SC, ST, OBC and minority affairs, underscored the importance of widespread tree planting across the state during the Vanamahotsavam celebrations.

He participated in the forest department’s Vanamahotsavam event at Bhageerthipally village in Bhiknoor mandal on Sunday. Emphasising the role of greenery in promoting a healthy lifestyle, Shabbir urged everyone to both plant and protect trees to preserve the natural environment.

P.V. Ramakrishna, forest divisional officer for Kamareddy district, noted that tree-planting activities are being conducted with the involvement of multiple government departments and local students. He stressed the necessity of safeguarding forests and wildlife and appealed to the public to take an active role in forest conservation and maintaining the state’s greenery.
