Adilabad: Minister for rural development Seethakka on Friday called for better coordination among the revenue, panchayati raj, and agriculture departments to ensure the effective implementation of three major schemes — Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa, Indiramma Houses, and Ration Cards — starting on January 26.
During a review meeting in Nirmal, the minister emphasised the need to prepare error-free lists of eligible beneficiaries through gram sabhas in both villages and urban areas. She urged officials to prioritise transparency and accuracy in the selection process.
MLA Vedma Bojju highlighted the importance of ensuring that welfare schemes benefit the most vulnerable sections of society. Nirmal MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy echoed the sentiment, urging officials to make welfare schemes accessible to the eligible poor.
Nirmal district collector Abhilash Abhinav reported receiving 17,491 applications for Indiramma Houses, of which 2,924 were identified as eligible after a thorough survey.
The meeting was attended by several key officials and leaders, including Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar, Mudhole MLA Ramarao Patel, MLC Dande Vittal, and collectors Venkatesh Dhotre, Deepak Kumar, and Rajarhi Shah.
