Warangal: Panchayat raj minister Seethakka criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, alleging that he has no moral authority to speak about an Adivasi woman like her when he "could not even protect his own sister, Kalvakuntla Kavitha." She warned that he would face political consequences if he continued to drag her into baseless controversies.

Speaking to the media ahead of a compensation cheque distribution programme for farmers at the ITDA Skill Development Centre in Mulugu district on Monday, the minister questioned Rama Rao’s credibility. “How can he talk about right and wrong when his own sister has alleged that her phone was tapped? If he can harass his own sister, why would he care about an Adivasi woman like me?” she said, further accusing Rama Rao of trying to malign her image using fake letters.

Seethakka alleged that the BRS has a history of exploiting people’s deaths for political mileage, as seen during the Telangana statehood movement. She cited the case of a man named Nagaiah, who she claimed died by suicide due to the actions of the BRS.

She also accused the previous BRS government of failing to provide any compensation to farmers during its 10-year rule, despite their repeated losses. “Now, when the Congress government is distributing compensation cheques worth Rs 5 crore to farmers by pressuring seed companies, the BRS is trying to obstruct these efforts by staging dharnas,” she said.

Issuing a stern warning, Seethakka said anyone making false allegations against her would face serious consequences. “My own relatives have suffered because of such lies. I don’t trouble anyone, but if someone troubles me, they will be politically destroyed with the blessings of Goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma,” she said.
