SCR and BDL launched Vigilance Awareness Week activities under the theme “Probity for Prosperity,” promoting integrity and ethical conduct.
South Central Railway and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) began Vigilance Awareness Week on Monday, which will continue till November 1 under the theme “Probity for Prosperity.”
BDL launched a village outreach programme at Kanakamamidi in Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district, to promote integrity and ethical conduct. Employees staged a skit in Telugu to explain the importance of vigilance, displayed awareness banners, held a walkathon and took the Integrity Pledge.
At South Central Railway, officers and staff also administered the pledge during the inaugural session. The chief guest was Ravi Gupta, IPS (Retd), executive vice‑chairman and director general, Centre for Good Governance, Telangana, and former director general of police.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta said probity was not just about avoiding financial corruption but about working ethically and giving one’s best. He stressed that integrity is the foundation for trust and national growth.
Quoting in Hindi, he said: “Jaha satyanishta hai, wahin vishwas hai; jaha vishwas hai, wahin vikas hai; aur jaha vikas hai, wahin vastavik samruddhi hai. (Where there is integrity, there is trust; where there is trust, there is growth; and where there is growth, there is true prosperity.)” He added that institutions progress only when people strive to do the right thing even when no one is watching.
