HYDERABAD: T-Hub transformed into a vibrant tribute to India’s temple architecture as over 85 students from more than 10 architecture colleges showcased exceptional miniature replicas drawn from the country’s rich temple heritage. The models reflected a deep passion for Bharatiyata and architectural brilliance at “Sapta Sindhu–2025,” an inter-college temple model-making competition and exhibition.
Sangeeta Mishra, founder and director of AE Foundation, envisioned Sapta Sindhu after witnessing students’ creative zeal at a previous exhibition. She conceived the event as a grand platform to celebrate and nurture young talent. The initiative beautifully merged tradition with contemporary architectural education, fostering renewed appreciation for India’s sacred monuments.
A distinguished panel of judges — Dr S. Sundararajan, Ramesh Mantha and Sthapathi D.N.D. Prasad evaluated the intricate models with admiration. Top honours went to JBR Architecture College for their rendition of the Sharadamba Temple, Sringeri, followed by Sri Venkateswara College’s Sun Temple, Modhera, and JNAFAU Hyderabad’s Ramappa Temple from Telangana.
Sangeeta Mishra emphasised that Indian architecture transcends conventional infrastructure, encompassing a millennia-old legacy of cultural and scientific achievement. The exquisite models will remain on display at T-Hub for ten days, inviting the public to experience this homage to India’s timeless architectural heritage.
