Sanjay Kumar Srivastava Takes Charge as South Central Railway General Manager

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava took charge as General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR) on Saturday.

Hyderabad:Sanjay Kumar Srivastava took charge as General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR) on Saturday. He belongs to the 1988 Batch of Indian Railway Engineering Service (IRSE).



Srivastava was earlier General Manager in the Central Organisation of Railway Electrification (CORE) and was instrumental in implementing technological advancements and policies related to civil engineering, a statement said.

He also worked with the RDSO, RITES and the Railway Board. At RDSO, he served as principal executive director (Infra-1) and contributed to developing advanced rail technologies. His collaborations with M&C Directorate and Bhilai Steel Plant were pivotal.

His tenure at RITES as General Manager (urban transport) saw his contributions to Metro Rail projects for Kolkata, Kochi, and Nagpur, which involved planning, design and tendering processes.

Srivastava has a profound understanding of engineering, project management and general administration, the statement said. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi, Srivastava also holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, USA.
