Sangareddy Gets ₹100 Cr For Roads Works: Jagga Reddy

SANGAREDDY: TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy and District Congress Committee president Nirmala Jagga Reddy on Wednesday said the Sangareddy Assembly constituency had been sanctioned ₹100 crore for the construction and upgradation of 83 km of roads.
Reviewing the proposed works with officials of the roads and buildings and panchayat raj departments, they said arrangements were under way to commence the projects shortly.
Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy alleged that many roads in the constituency had deteriorated during the BRS government's 10-year tenure due to inadequate maintenance and repairs. He claimed several roads currently in use had been constructed during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era.
He said the proposed works would improve connectivity between villages, mandal headquarters, towns and major roads across the constituency.
The meeting also reviewed proposals for additional road projects and discussed the release of pending bills to contractors for completed works.
Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy said he would meet Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and finance minister Bhatti Vikramarka to seek the early release of the pending payments.
