Sangareddy: Couple Absconds After Rs 2 Crore Chit Fund Scam

Sangareddy: A couple from Ameenpur in Sangareddy district is on the run after allegedly collecting nearly Rs 2 crore from local residents by promising them high returns through a chit fund scheme. According to reports, Sirisha and Sambasivarao had been collecting large sums of money from residents of the BSR Colony area under this scheme over a period of time.

The issue came to light after investors failed to receive their money after the stipulated time period. Following complaints from the victims, police registered a case against the couple and have launched a search operation to trace their whereabouts.
