Sacked Tech Mahindra Employee stages dharna at At Medchal Firm, Alleges Harassment

Software engineer Bhavana, an employee of Tech Mahindra at Dundigal, staged a dharna at the firm seeking justice after being removed from job for availing three-day sick leave to take care of her sick daughter.

Reportedly, she lodged a complaint against Tech Mahindra with the police, alleging that she was sacked deliberately.

She alleged that her services were terminated without any serious reason. She said that in the past, when she had taken 14-day leave for undergoing treatment, the management constantly harassed her by sending mails to her to join duties and threatened to remove her from job, if she failed to do so. The management ignored my well-being even when I tripped and fell down in the company premises when I was in poor health, she said.

Bhavana alleged that the management harassed her constantly by insisting that she take permission to even go to the washroom. She urged the software firms to be considerate towards women employees as they too have families to support.
