Hyderabad: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat called on every Hindu individual and family to build their lives on Dharmic principles and show the global community a path out of its myriad problems, to make India the ‘Vishwa Guru’.
"A number of organisations from various countries have approached us to learn the RSS model of functioning," he noted. "We suggest that they connect with Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), which operates in most countries and has earned recognition for its selfless service and dedication under a single motto: service."
Speaking at the valedictory function of the five-day ‘Vishwa Sangh Shibir’, organised by Delhi-based NGO Vishwa Niketan on the city outskirts, Bhagwat said the world, plagued by multiple crises, is turning to Hindu society and Bharat for solutions.
The seventh edition of the event drew 1,610 delegates from 71 countries.
Bhagwat highlighted how ancient Hindu society served the world for millennia through Vedic science, mathematics, Ayurveda, and more. "After the global community disrupted society over the last 2000 years, the time has come for us to become Vishwa Guru once again," he said.
"Every HSS member must shape their identity and family life to help the world. The Sangh philosophy can deliver solutions anywhere."
He stressed that true seva was voluntary, free of commercial motives, fear, or expectation of returns. "Dedicate your body, mind, and wealth ('tan, man, dhan') fully for society's welfare," Bhagwat urged HSS activists, tasking them with addressing global challenges.
Even in this era of speed, technology, and AI, he asserted, only Sanatan Dharma and its principles can resolve the world's problems.
“... Technology will advance. Social media will grow. AI will come. Everything will come. But, technology's ill effects will not be there. Technology would not become owner of human beings. Human beings would remain the owners of technology,” he said.
“Human intellect will move towards using technology for welfare of the world. Not the reverse. How it will happen? We have to live by example. This is before the entire Indian society,” he added.
RSS sarkayavah Dattreya Hosabale, Mahila Sevika Sangh chief Seetakka and others took part in the event.
