Hyderabad: RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited is doubling its footprint in Hyderabad, marking the next phase of its investment in the city and reinforcing its focus on talent and the growth of its global capability centre (GCC) in India.

Hyderabad is becoming an important pillar of RSM's global build-out, supporting integrated teams and specialized capabilities across consulting, tax, assurance, technology, digital transformation, innovation and business operations.
The IGBC-certified workplace is technology-enabled and collaboration-first, with smart meeting and learning spaces, sensor-based room management, flexible work settings and wellness features. The inauguration reflects the firm's broader investment in talent, innovation and capability development to enable India-based teams to contribute more deeply to its long-term growth.
RSM has increased its headcount in Hyderabad by nearly 150% in the last three years, supported by the city's strong talent ecosystem and growing technology and professional services base.
"Hyderabad's talent base and fast-growing technology ecosystem make it a natural home for our next phase of growth. Our focus is to build teams with deeper skills, create meaningful career opportunities and enable people here to contribute to work that are increasingly connected to RSM's global priorities. This office gives them the space to take on more complex work and build careers within a global firm," Ashokkumar Prabhakar, India Leader with RSM US Integrated Services, told Deccan Chronicle.
He said RSM began in Hyderabad around 2022-23 with about 20 people in a co-working space and moved to a 100,000 sq. ft. office in under four years. Across India, the firm has grown from around 700 people five years ago to about 4,200 today, with Hyderabad outpacing other locations. RSM operates from Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru and plans to consolidate in these four cities. Its Bengaluru office, inaugurated a day earlier, spans 1.54 lakh sq. ft., nearly triple its earlier 60,000 sq. ft. space.
Established in 1926, the firm serves US mid-market companies with revenues of $30 million to $5 billion. With a 100-year legacy,we are working to integrate our four offices into one culture while retaining a startup mindset.
On building a talent pipeline, Ashok said campus hiring is done mainly in July, while lateral hiring continues through the year to manage the seasonality of audit and tax work. Digital and technology roles are largely filled through lateral hires to enable co-creation with US teams, while consulting roles do not require mandatory certification. The firm sponsors certifications and provides on-the-job training for freshers. For the past two to three years, RSM has run custom programmes with a couple of universities, especially in tax, where its professionals teach, certify and onboard students, he said.
“The firm is investing in three areas … talent, real estate and skilling, including AI, driven by client requirements, “ he said. Noting that audit and tax is a competitive space with more mid-market players entering India, he said the four cities offer sufficient talent.RSM has automated a significant part of its processes, with Hyderabad and US teams jointly building platforms that automate workflows from document submission to review, with AI built in.
On responsible scaling, Ashok said the firm expects stable growth over its three-year plan with no substantial impact of AI on headcount, and performance is measured by client impact and contribution to clients, not just revenue.
The Hyderabad expansion gives RSM a stronger platform to build specialist teams, connect local talent to global engagements, and support more complex work, with a focus on capability development, learning, collaboration, and long-term career growth.
