Rooplathanda Elects Sarpanch, Ward Members Unanimously

 Karimnagar: In a remarkable display of unity, the villagers of Rooplathanda unanimously elected their sarpanch and all eight ward members even before the elections were held in Rudrangi mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district.

The village, with a population of around 390, became the first gram panchayat in the district to record a unanimous election. The residents not only avoided a contest but also celebrated the consensus as a model for the region. The chosen sarpanch is a local resident, Jawahar Lal Naik. Villagers said they selected him because he understands the community’s needs and enjoys support cutting across party lines.

Naik assured the villagers that he would work for the development of the thanda and resolve local issues, promising that funding constraints would not stand in the way. Following the unanimous selection, villagers gathered to congratulate the newly elected sarpanch.
