WARANGAL: Is Medaram merely a spiritual destination for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, or has the sacred shrine also acquired political significance for him? The question is being discussed in Congress circles following his latest visit to the Goddesses Sammakka‑Saralamma shrine and the Rakhi ceremony with minister Danasari ‘Seethakka’ Anasuya Seethakka.

In 2023, as TPCC president, Revanth Reddy visited the shrine and launched his Haath Se Haath Jodo padayatra from the region. He returned in September 2025 and again in January 2026 with his family, when he performed special prayers and dedicated the renovated gaddes premises to the public. His latest visit has attracted renewed attention as he is scheduled to leave on a foreign tour.
The observation that “Medaram brings luck to Revanth” may simply be political banter. However, Congress circles continue to attach significance to his repeated visits and the political developments that followed, making the Medaram‑Revanth association an interesting feature of Telangana politics.
