Revanth Reddy Launches Solar Unit, Outlines Vision for Pollution-Free Growth

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday inaugurated a solar module manufacturing unit at Sitarampur and outlined an ambitious roadmap for the state’s economic and urban development.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the government is working with a clear focus on development despite political criticism. He stressed the need for pollution-free growth in Hyderabad, noting that cities like Delhi are facing severe environmental challenges, while Bengaluru and Chennai are grappling with traffic congestion.

To address these issues, he said the government has decided to promote sustainable urban planning by categorising Telangana into CURE, PURE, and RARE zones. He added that nearly 2,100 sq km within the Outer Ring Road limits would be developed as a dedicated service sector zone under the CURE model.

Revanth Reddy said Telangana aims to become a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and contribute 10 per cent to the national economy. He also set a near-term target of transforming the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2030 with public support.

Highlighting the need for investments, he said infrastructure development is key to attracting industries and generating employment. The government is focusing on skill development by establishing Advanced Training Centres (ATCs) and a dedicated Skills University for youth.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to provide house sites and create livelihood opportunities for families who lost land in the project area. He assured special funds for the development of Chevella constituency and noted that a 100-metre-wide road from Budwel to Kodangal is under construction.

Calling for cooperation, he said development should take precedence over politics and urged people to allow the government time to deliver on its promises. He also announced that he would soon return to inaugurate a temple in the area.
