RERA Directs Jayathri Infra to Register Flats to Buyers
The direction pertains to the Jaya Platinum residential project in Bowrampet Village, Dundigal, where construction was stalled after the developer cited financial difficulties.
Hyderabad:The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has directed Jayathri Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd. to register conveyance deeds in favour of flat allottees within 30 days, following prolonged delays in handing over possession.
The direction pertains to the Jaya Platinum residential project in Bowrampet Village, Dundigal, where construction was stalled after the developer cited financial difficulties.
Several buyers who had paid advances but did not receive their flats subsequently formed the JP Welfare Association and completed the construction after taking permission from the RERA under Section 8 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act.
Though the flats have since been handed over to the buyers, they were not registered in their names as the builder was declared a defaulter in 2024.
As the defaulter status was revoked earlier this year, the company can register properties in the name of buyers.
The Jaya Platinum project comprises a residential apartment complex with one stilt and five upper floors, constructed over an extent of about 3,267 square yards in Bowrampet village of Dundigal-Gandi Maisamma mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
