New Delhi: As tensions ease in India’s northern border regions, Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi provides shelter, care, and logistical support to returning citizens. Under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s guidance, 162 individuals—56 from Jammu & Kashmir and 106 from Punjab—have been assisted. Of these, 130 have returned home, while others remain until travel is arranged.

Resident Commissioner Dr Gaurav Uppal reviewed facilities and met students on Monday. Many expressed relief as institutions signaled normalcy but preferred returning home first. Dr Uppal secured online class options from universities for temporary academic leniency.

Final-year students uncertain about plans were assured continued support. “Telangana Bhavan’s doors are always open,” Dr Uppal reaffirmed. With fewer distress calls and improving conditions, the Bhavan remains equipped to assist any citizens en route.

The Telangana Government pledges ongoing support until all citizens are safely reunited with their families.
