Bandi Sanjay, K. Taraka Ramarao greeted each other during their visit to flood-affected areas in the district.

Karimnagar:Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar of the BJP and former minister K.T. Rama Rao of the BRS greeted each other warmly while inspecting flood-affected areas at Narmala in Gambhiraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.

The encounter, captured on video and widely shared on social media, showed the political rivals setting aside differences to focus on flood relief. Supporters of both leaders raised slogans — “Jai Bandi Sanjay” and “Jai KTR” — as the two shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.

The meeting took place near the Upper Manair Dam, shortly after five stranded farmers were rescued by helicopter. Sanjay had gone to meet them and was leaving the place when Rama Rao arrived. Instead of sparring politically, the two leaders exchanged smiles, asked after each other’s well-being and praised each other’s relief efforts.

The brief but cordial interaction drew widespread attention online, with many hailing it as a reminder that leaders can rise above rivalry to serve people during crises.
